Statement on President Biden's Decision to End Re-Election Campaign
Like many Biden supporters, I am disappointed to hear that the President has decided to end his re-election campaign. Joe Biden has served our nation with distinction. Together with Vice President Kamala Harris, he saved us from a second Trump administration, guided our country through the COVID-19 pandemic, and passed consequential legislation addressing infrastructure, manufacturing, drug costs for seniors, and healthcare for our veterans. Under his leadership, we have seen record job growth. History will remember Joe Biden fondly, and I am deeply thankful for his service.
President Biden has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as our presidential nominee, and I fully support this decision. Now is the time to set aside disagreements and disappointments, as we unite to make "Madam President" a reality.
Together, we will continue to build on the progress we have made and ensure a brighter future for all Americans.
